How can I get to Liverpool airport?
By Car
Liverpool airport is south east of the city, next to the
River Mersey. From the city centre take the A561 towards Runcorn
and follow the signs to the airport. From the M56 cross over the
river at Runcorn on the A557 and follow the A561 signs to the airport.
From Warrington take the A road to Widnes and then get onto the
A561 turning off onto Speke Hall Avenue and follow signs to the
airport.
By Taxi
Chauffeur driven car hire services are provided by the airports'
official concessionaire, Checker Cars.
There is a quoted fare system and taxis can be pre-booked with
fares paid in advance by cash or credit card, or at the end of the
journey. Checker Cars has a booking office in the North Terminal
arrivals area and a booking office in the northern entrance building
leading to the South Terminal.
Cars with swivel seats are available for disabled travellers.

Set down and pick up
For security reasons, private cars may not stop on the terminal
forecourt roads for any purpose other than to set down or pick up
passengers. Cars left unattended are liable to be towed away by
the police and a retrieval charge levied.
If leaving a vehicle unattended to set down or pick up passengers,
please use the multi-story car parks.
By Train
The nearest station is Garston, trains run to Garston every
15 minutes from Liverpool Central Station. Liverpool Lime Street
station has excellent rail connections to the rest of the UK. Arriva
bus 80A (and the number 108 on Sundays) runs from Garston Station
to the airport.
By Coach
Arriva Bus 80A runs to and from the airport from Garston
station, Allerton, Mossley Hill, Toxteth and Liverpool City Centre,
on Sunday this is replaced by Bus 108. National Express run coaches
to and from Liverpool coach station on Norton Street in the city
centre.
